News: IMEMs 'Lessons from the Past' Lecture Series

Following on from the success of ‘On Pilgrimage’, Durham’s Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies is delighted to announce our new lecture series! Lessons from the Past: Cities, Heritage, Climate Change, Disaster and Risk. The series is created in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Durham’s UNESCO Chair.

The ‘Lessons from the Past’ series will bring together speakers from across the globe, and academic, policy and industry backgrounds, to consolidate sector wide expertise and reflect on themes of challenges at the nexus where cities, heritage, climate change, disaster and risk meet as well as explore possible mitigations and solutions.

The first lecture in the series is : Resilience to Climate Change: A discussion on the heritage of Kathmandu Valley - Kai Weise   Click here to view: IMEMS YouTube channel
