World Heritage is for everyone, everywhere.  Many people give their time freely as ambassadors, volunteer guides, stewards and researchers.  Each year our World Heritage Site Youth Ambassadors, young people from the local community and students at Durham University, collaborate to share their insights through projects such as ‘Voices’ audio stories, Under the Library archaeological discoveries at St. John’s College on the Bailey and The People’s Story at Durham Castle for World Heritage Day in 2027.
