Research underpins everything we do – from how we to conserve historic buildings, mitigate climate change, support biodiversity and achieve carbon net zero – to researching hidden histories and archaeology.  Much remains to be discovered - for example, the Anglo-Saxon church and settlement which pre-dated the Norman Castle and Cathedral.
