News: The Durham Story:Premiere Castle Great Hall June 7th 8.30pm


A new film telling the story of the birth, growth and character of Durham University through the antics and adventures of students across the last 180 years.

No history of Britain would be complete without a mention of the Durham Story. Over 1,000 years in the making, with saints, students and scholars each playing a part. Join Alex Morgan in this new documentary and plunge into the mischievous world of Durham's first students, reliving their antics and adventures and comparing their with those from undergraduates today.

With contributions from Bill Bryson, Sir Thomas Allen and Jeremy Vine, 'The Durham Story' sheds new light on the origins of the best loved student traditions and the birth of Durham University.
