News: Durham Castle Floodlighting Switched On

Durham Castle's new floodlighting scheme, designed to be energy efficient and capture more of the architectural detailing and texture of the 900 year-old building has been switched on. The scheme was funded by Durham County Council, and designed and implemented by Staintons Lighting Design, as part of ongoing improvements to Durham's World Heritage Site. The second phase of the scheme, the relighting of the exterior of Durham Cathedral, is currently underway.
