Viking crafts family fun

Learn more about Viking loom weaving and make your own woven creation to take home.

 

This activity takes place between 10am and 12 noon near the visitor desk inside the cathedral.

 

Tickets: £2 available from the visitor desk.

 

Visit Open Treasure's temporary exhibition The Vikings in Northumbria to discover more about the influence of the Vikings on the North East. See a model Viking ship and a facsimile of the Lindisfarne Gospels, a magnificent manuscript that escaped the threat of 9th century Viking raids on the island of Lindisfarne.
