Lindisfarne Priory

View of the ruins of Lindisfarne Priory. The arcades, especially the pillars with a chevron or zigzag design are like a scaled-down version of those of Durham Cathedral. This is hardly surprising: The priory was refounded in the early twelfth century by the Durham-based community of St Cuthbert, after the building of the Cathedral. It is possible that the same masons worked on both buildings.
